To support the increasing demands for higher energy, lower weight cylindrical battery usage, Keystone Electronics has introduced our latest coil spring contacts designed to slide-into molded cases with no wire lead, direct placement onto a PCB.

Engineered with a contact design that adjusts to variations in battery length, these contacts assure low contact resistance and dependable connectivity.

These contacts also offer the convenience of being drop in replacements for standard leaf spring contacts. Contacts can accommodate cylindrical batteries styles including A, AA, AAA and, CR2 cells virtually eliminating the need to specify brand and style.

Manufactured from .61mm Steel Wire with Nickel Plating for superior performance in today’s high tech devices.

Keystone Europe MEA+India - Slim-Line PC Screw Terms

Slim-Line PC Screw Terminals.

Keystone Electronics has expanded its assortment of PC mount screw terminals to include new Slim-Line screw terminals in a vertical mounting configuration.

Rated for 15 Amps, these new devices are ideally suited for high density packaging on a PCB design requiring a minimal footprint wire-to-board connection. They feature a no-rock design with an exclusive anti-rotation feature. This design supports the terminal during installation on the board and when attaching #14-22 AWG wires, spades or ring terminals.

Combined with space-saving, cost effective attributes, the units are offered in 45º, 60º  and 90º orientation to the board enabling design versatility. Manufactured from brass with a matte-tin plate finish, these terminals are available with a 6-32 binding head machine screw installed and captivated on the terminals, as an unassembled terminal and screw kit or as the terminal only without any screw.

Screws are also available with color coded heads in red, black, white, blue, green, yellow and clear for enhanced assembly identification and troubleshooting purposes.

Keystone Europe MEA+India - Insulating Pull Tabs

New Battery Insulating Pull Tabs.

Keystone Electronics recently introduced battery insulators designed to protect batteries and circuitry during shipping and storage prior to use.

These new insulating pull tabs are installed in a product along with the batteries to act as an insulator from energizing the device prior to use.  Simply pull the tab out from under the battery contact to activate the product.  Lettering and arrows on the pull tabs make for simplified removal.

Manufactured from thin, flexible polyester,  these pull tabs can be removed from a battery compartment even if the compartment is closed.
For button cell through AAA Batteries,  request p/n 111 which is available on rolls or p/n 119 for bulk.
For 12.7mm coin cells and AA or larger cylindrical cells,  request p/n 117 on rolls or p/n 121 in bulk.

New IP65 Water Resistant AA Battery Holders.

Keystone Electronics has met the increasing demands for water resistant and reliable AA battery holders with the introduction of our latest covered plastic battery holders.

These self-contained battery holders can be placed on or off a board, or between components, cards or anywhere within a case or piece of equipment as spaces allows. In addition to portability, these devices also feature coil spring contacts to compensate for variations in battery length and to securely hold batteries in place, assuring positive, low contact-resistance connections.

Engineered with sealing gasket to provide a watertight compartment for AA batteries, these self contained battery enclosures are IP65 rated for water, dust and other harsh environments. Manufactured for increased durability from molded ABS, the contacts are nickel plated spring steel. Included in these enclosures are 6″ long #26 AWG pre-tinned wire leads for simplified installation and a built in, sealed, on-off switch for additional product security.

Keystone’s new waterproof battery holders are available in configurations to accommodate 2 AA cells (p/n 2438), 3 AA Cells (p/n 2439) or 4 AA Cells (p/n 2440).
